Kevin (he/him) is an accomplished queer first-generation Cambodian American, a Fulbright Scholar, a technologist, and a highly experienced recruiter. He is the founder of Open Hand Recruiting.
Throughout his career, Kevin has successfully recruited top talent for renowned startups such as Asana, Heap Analytics, and Dialpad. His expertise lies in sourcing and hiring technical professionals from diverse backgrounds worldwide. Additionally, Kevin has made significant contributions to the nonprofit sector, working with organizations such as KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program), the largest network of charter schools in the United States, and Community Forward SF, a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to providing medical and housing services to women experiencing domestic violence and homelessness.
With a fervent dedication to social impact tech sectors, Kevin's passion lies in assisting leaders in recruiting exceptional talent from all walks of life. He possesses profound expertise in diversity recruiting and has developed meticulous and inclusive processes that ensure equity throughout the hiring journey, from initial outreach to final job offers.
Kevin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College. He is currently pursuing both a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and Columbia University School of Social Work, further enhancing his knowledge and expertise in serving communities and promoting social welfare.
